Africa Copyright Forum (ACF) Conference

28-30 November 2005, Hotel Africana, Kampala



The ACF Conference is a pan African event being organized by the
Uganda Library and Information Association (ULIA) and the National
Library of Uganda (NLU) and sponsored by the International Federation
of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA/ALP) and Commonwealth
of Learning (COL). The conference whose theme is "Copyright & Access
to Information" will highlight the important connection between
copyright and education, research, innovation, publishing and the
creative arts and protection of indigenous information. The ultimate
goal is formation of an Africa Copyright Forum to promote an equitable
copyright environment that permits wide access to Information.

Participants are invited from copyright-related, or dependent, fields
like education and training, distance education, libraries, law,
creative arts, publishing, bookselling, authorship, civil society, the
media, among others. Interested persons are advised to register early.
Registration fee is only USD 60 or equivalent in Uganda shillings.
