Re: [ox] Copyleft in der Praxis

Hi Liste!

I mean it is clear to everyone that the texts which have been written
in the former Wiki are available and should be available for Free
activity. I.e. they need to be Free to be worked with and they must be
Free so others can work with them. This is the intention and IMHO
there can be no doubt about it.

Now, the GFDL and other ShareAlike licenses may mobilize all the
power-force of the copyright system if they are not adhered to. They
do not distinguish the intention. This is good if the Freedom of the
work is in danger. This is firing back if the notion of Freedom
changes. Do you think it is useful that a project like Wikipedia is
bound to GFDL just because in the beginning they thought it was the
  best?

In this case it allows ThomasUG to mobilize the power-force of the
copyright system against the Freedom. The new Oekonux Wiki will be the
better known and more people will work on it. So if ThomasUG forbids
the use of his work in this Wiki he makes his work unavailable and
thus it is no longer Free. As you can see the license question is
completely irrelevant here. Of course he'll get his way - I always
  respect privacy requirements.

durchzusetzen.

						Stefan
